FOOTE—EDWARDS A pretty wedding was solemnised at Jt. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Motueka. recently, when Jean Blanche, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Arnold Edwards, Lower Moutere. was married to Laurence Noel, third son of Mr and Mrs David Foote, “Homewood,” Pelorus Sounds. The Rev. R. Blair was the officiating minister and Miss Bessie Teece plaved the wedding music. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of cream embossed boucle, fashioned on slim-fitting lines and slightly trained, with a silver lace yoke and a posy of orange blossoms on the corsage. Her veil of soft tulle beautifully embroidered by Mrs Alan Holdaway. was held in place with cream velvet roses and she carried a bouquet, also made by Mrs Holdaway. of cream Crenum lilies and carnations with maidenhair and asparagus fern. The bridesmaid. Miss Bettie Edwards, sister of the bride, was attired in delphinium blue taffeta with quilted flowers on the bodice and sleeves. Her bouquet was composed of pink carnations. gypsophila and maidenhair fern she wore a spray of pink velvet roses in her hair. Mr David Woodley, cousin of the bride, carried out the duties of best man, Alter the ceremony a reception was held at the Masonic” Hall, where Mrs Edwards, the bride's mother, and Mrs Foote, mother of the bridegroom, received the guests.
