GALLANTRY IN SAVING LIFE Wellington, Nov. 24. The High Commissioner in London, Mr Jordan, advises that the King has been pleased to approve the award of the Albert Medal (bronze) to Stoker Ist Class William Donald Dale, whose father is Mr H. B. Dale, Timaru, and Mention in Dispatches to Stoker Ist Class Ernest Valentine, whose mother is Mrs M. H. Valentine, Wanganui, for gallantry in saving life when a serious explosion took place in June. —P.A.
