NEW POST FOR GENERAL LE GENTILHOMME
(Rcc. 11.5 a.m.) Algiers, Sept. 28. General Paul Le Gentilhomme, has been appointed Commissioner of National Defence. He is a former Commissioner of War to General de Gaulle’s Fighting French Committee in London. Later he became French High Commissioner in the Indian Ocean zone. His appointment is regarded as a sign of the National Committee’s determination not to allow General Giraud over-riding powers.
