London, July 1. A radio photo transmission service between London and Bombay has just been opened to celebrate the inauguration of messages exchanged between Sir Sultan Ahmed, the newly-appoint-ed member of the Viceroy’s Council in charge of the Department of Information and Broadcasting, and Mr Brendan Bracken.

Sir Sultan Ahmed’s message was accompanied by a photograph of the King shaking hands with Subala Lalbahadur Thapa after decorating him with the Victoria Cross in North Africa With Melbourne and Cape Town, Bombay is the third great Empire city having a direct radio picture link with London.—P.A.
