“THUMBS UP”

CLEVER PATRIOTIC PRODUCTION COMMENCING TUESDAY

When attending a rehearsal of ‘ Thumbs Up” a visitor confessed his amazement at the scope, variety and beauty in the presentation of this spectacular revue. The revue moves at a breath-taking speed with colourful scenes and snappy comedy sketches. The lighting and scenery effects will be unique in the theatrical history of Nelson, and the large cast are now working up to professional standard. Mr Eddie Martin, the producer, has ieft no stone unturned to give the amusementgoing public an artistic pot-pourri production. Backing the production will be a fine efficient orchestra under the direction of Mr Lee. From the first chord of the overture to the final fall of the curtain on the grande finale there will not be one dull moment. Music will range from grave to gay. Mr Martin states that in spite of his wide theatrical experience he has never received so pleasant a surprise as when the rehearsals showed that Nelson possessed such a galaxy of local talent. “Indeed.” he said. “I will go so far as to say that the final results will do credit to any professional production.”

“Thumbs Up” is presented by the Nelson Patriotic Committee, and the proceeds are for patriotic funds. Capacity houses are assured and patrons are advised to reserve early.
