WEDDING GOWN OF GLASS
London, June 30. A bride at St. Giles’ Cathedral, Edinburgh, wore a wedding gown made of glass, her hat, shoes and handbag were also made of pale blue glass. The bride was Helen Munro, a graduate of the University of Edinburgh, and the bridegroom was a 62-year-old widower, Professor W. E. S. Turner, head of the glass technology department, Sheffield University. The bride is an expert on book illustration and engraving in wood and glass.—P.A.
