JUNE SINKINGS BY U-BOATS ADMISSION BY GERMAN WRITERS SUCCESSFUL ALLIED COUNTERMEASURES (Rec. 10.0 a.m.) London, June 29. The Germans admit that June sinkings by U-boats were the lowest " yet recorded says the Stockholm “Tidningen’s” Berlin correspondent. The “National Zeitung’s” naval writer admits that the Allies have found the counter-measure, but claims that sinkihgs will rise again following the period in which U-boats were withdrawn for technical revision and tactical training of crews.—P.A.
