BURNING OIL ON HARBOURS
GERMANY’S NEW INVASION WEAPON London, June 26. A Stockholm message says that all entrances to Atlantic harbours will be barred by a screen of burning oil spread over the surface of the water when an attack is imminent. This will make the passage of any boat impossible. This is stated by the latest issues of German newspapers referring to Dr Goebbels, who is playing up oil as Germany’s new invasion weapon. The German press also publishes pictures of concrete antitank traps guarding the Italian coast.—
