STEEL PRODUCTION DRIVE
AMERICAN MUNITIONS DRIVE Rugby, June 27. A drive aimed at the production of an additional supply of 2,000,000 tons of steel during the last half of 1943, has been announced by the chairman of the United States War Production Board, Mr Donald Nelson. The W.P.B. estimates that a successful completion of this goal would mean the attainment of this year’s munitions production goal and “perhaps an eventual shortening of the war.”—B.O.W.
