CHILD BURNT TO DEATH
FATHER SEVERELY INJURED Christchurch, June 25. A child was burnt to death and his father severely burnt when a fire broke out in a house in Durham street to-night. The victims were:— DEAD Neil William Wilson, aged three years. INJURED Arthur William Vincent Wilson, father of Neil Wilson, a driver, in hospital seriously ill. Another child, Theresa Wilson, aged 5 years, was treated for burns at the hospital and discharged. The origin of the fire is unknown. The alarm was given by a boy from the house next door. The occupants of the burning house were removed by fire brigadesmen. Mrs Wilson was not at home at the time.—P.A.
