HOCKEY RESULTS
WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS REWA DEFEATS STOKE The Rewa team won the Nelson Women’s Hockey Championship for the season when it defeated the Stoke team in the finals which were played on Saturday. The result of the match was Rewa 3, Stoke nil. The other women’s hockey match played on Saturday was between the Wakatu and Kia Ora teams. This resulted in a win for Wakatu by 6 goals to nil. There were no men’s hockey fixtures played on Saturday. The Woodbourne Air Force team which was to have played a Nelson men’s representative team was unable to make the visit and the game was postponed.
