TWO NEW SERVICE MEDALS RUGBY, June 25.—The issue of the first two service medals in the present war have been announced by the King. They are the Africa Star and the 1939-43 Star.—B.O.W. EXCHANGE OF SEAMEN RUGBY, ‘June 25.—One hundred and eleven British seamen arrived in Lisbon to-day by train to be exchanged for an equal number of German prisoners, states an agency message. Members of the party belonged to 53 ships sunk in various ways. RAID ON WUPPERTAL LONDON, June 25.—Berlin radio says the RAF. raided Wuppertal last night. AERODROME IN SALONIKA BOMBED LONDON, June 25.—A Cairo air communique states that United S ates heavy bombers yesterday in daylight attacked Sedes aerodrome at Salonika, set fire to three hangars, hit buildings and dispersal areas, started oil fires and destroyed at least three aircraft on the ground. Non® of ours is missing. Middle East Liberators, in their raid on the airfield at Sedes, dropped 100 tons of bombs on the airfield, which is stated to be one of the finest in Greece, and pitted it with craters. The raid involved a round trip of 1100 miles. About 300 North-West African aircraft successfully pounded targets in Sardinia. Twenty enemy planes were destroyed and nine oX ours are missing. SUBMARINE COMMANDER LONDON, June 25.—Lieut L. ti , Hferrick, D.S.C., R.N., of Hastings, is named by an Admiralty communique as being one of 10 submarine commanders who sank 13 and damaged seven Axis ships in the Mediterranean.
