PROSPECTS FOR HAWKES BAY MEETING The Hawkes Bay J.C. has received * very fine lot of acceptances for its winter meeting to-morrow. All the event* have even strong fields, and with 3P in the Hastings Maiden a division will be unavoidable. Many of the candidates will be having a final try-out before T;*nlham the following week Rakanui. the .seasons champion handi capper, wil be starting in the Winter Handicap with 10.10 on his back and he is in such fine condition that he niust have a chance.
