HOLIDAY AT NGATIMOTI
In the holidays I went to Ngatimoti with Marie. We left on the Friday afternoon by the mail car. When we arrived there it was drizzling. We went to see the Orinoco School. One day we went into the bush. There was a little fantail which followed us all the way in the bush. There were a lot of ferns there, too. We were staying next to the Odd Fellows’ Hall and we used to go over nearly every day. Just outside the hall there are about five pine trees and we made a swing on one. The day we came home was Friday. The trees at the shrubbery have been beautiful but now the leaves have fallen off and we have been raking them up. Diane Goodyer, Riwaka.
