POST-WAR IMMIGRATION
CAMPAIGN IN DOMINION An active Dominion-wide campaign to advocate post-war immigration is to be launched immediately by the Dominion Settlement Association, which met recently in Wellington. Mr A. Leigh Hunt, who presided, reported that the Prime Minister, Mr P. Fraser, had agreed to receive a deputation. It was decided to request Viscount Bledisloe to act as British representative and to enlist the services of Commissioner Lamb, of Salvation Army Headquarters, London. It was also decided to lay the association’s cause before the leaders of all political parties. The meeting agreed that party politics should not enter into any of its activities.
