ELECTIONS IN EIRE
PROPORTIONAL REPRESENTATION SYSTEM (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) London, June 22. After a whirlwind general election campaign the citizens of Eire are voting to-day under the- proportional representation system with 355 candidates for 137 seats. Owing to the ban on the use of motor cars electors journeyed to tho polls in wagonettes, jaunting cars, traps, coal drays ar.d milk carts. The total poll is not likely to In heavy. The counting of votes begins to-mor-row and will continue until 26th June.
