FLOODS IN GERMANY
CATTLE LOST WHEN DAMS BOMBED London, June 22. A Zurich message says that the wrecking of the Mohne and Eder dams caused considerable loss of cattle. The floods destroyed fodder, necessitating forced butchering, after which black market meat dealing was considerable. This was revealed by a Berlin official in a survey of the food policy of Germany.—P.A.
