TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST
GENERAL SHOWERS Wellington, This Day. The indications are for winds from a westerly quarter, fresh at times, occasional showers in western ranges, mainly fair at first elsewhere, but a period of general showers to-morrow, temperatures becoming colder with some snow to-morrow on the high country. The further outlook is for cold southerly conditions, with passing showers, but improving. A further 83 points of rain fell in Nelson yesterday, making the total for the month to date 5.91 inches. Of this amount 3.19 inches has been recorded this week. Most of the rain yesterday fell in the morning and early afternoon. It ecased during the evening and with a gradual clearing of the sky the temperature fell to 33.6 degrees. A slight southerly breeze sprang up this morning dispersing the clouds, and the day was beautifully sunny though cool. SOME HEAVY FALLS In the week endin- yesterday Taranaki had 7.28in of rain. Waikato had 1.54 for the 24 hours ending 9 a.m. yesterday, making a total of 7.79 for the month. Auckland has had 6.72in in June so far.
