WANTS WOMEN PRIESTS IN CHURCH OF ENGLAND
London, April 16. Addressing a meeting of the Women Citizens’ Association at Newport, Lady Raglan contended, amid hearty approbation, that if the Church of England was prepared to accept Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria as its heads, there was no logical reason why women should not he ordained as priests. Women were agreed that it was only masculine prejudice that was the stumbling block. They were also agreed that they had a hard fight ahead of them.
