INCREASED PAYMENTS BY FRANCE FACTS CONCEALED FROM PUBLIC Rec. 10.45 a.m.). London, Feb. 8. According to information received in London France is now paying 500,000,000 francs daily occupation costs to Germany instead of 300,000,000. It is also learned that as the result of the meeting between Hitler and Laval some weeks ago France is paying 35,000,000 francs more daily to Italy. The Germans demanded extensive deliveries of railway rolling stock and more wheat. She also has been promised about 200 miles of railway lines monthly and 2500 Skilled railway workers in addition to the 9500 already gone to Germany. These facts are carefully concealed from the French public.—P.A.
