Lieutenants (temp.) R. E. Simpson and N. H. Pavitt, the NelsonMarlborough and West Coast Regiment, have been promoted to be Captains (temp.). Lieutenant (temp.) K. A. Webley is to be Captain (temp.) and remains seconded. Captain J. R. Grigg and Lieutenant C. W. Viggars, the Nelson, Marlborough and West Coast regiment, have been posted to the 2nd N.Z.E.F. with the ranks named. Mr G. L. Mead has been reappoint- j ed a member of the Nelson Land' Board for a term of two years. f Miss G. I. McGreavy, who has been j specialist teacher in singing and! music at Hampden Street School, has i now relinquished that position owing; to the ill-health of her mother. Ap- j preciation of her services and regret 1 at her departure was expressed at I last evening’s meeting of the Hampden Street School Committee. Mr G. R. Stirling, Youth Work Director for the Churches of Christ, is at present in Nelson, conducting a special course of training for Bible School teachers and youth workers.,
