INTERCESSION

When, Thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

Enable us, O God, to learn the great lessons of righteousness which the world’s agony has to teach us, lessons of pain brought to men by forgetfulness of Thee and the lust of power and the pride of life. Grant that more than heretofore our love of country may be rooted in love righteousness, and that we as a people may do justly’ love mercy, and walk humbly with Thee our God. Cleanse our hearts through faith in higher things, that we may learn to seek, not our own, but the good of others. Thus bless each One of us in turning us from our iniquities, to the glory of Thv Holy Name. Amen.
