NELSON BOWLING CLUB
A NUMBER OF GUESTS ENTERTAINED A function was held on the Nelson Bowling Club’s green on Saturday afternoon at which the club entertained honorary members, and those who had recently made donations to assist the club financially. In the absence of the president, Mr H. E. Stephens, the vice-president, Mr F. Mitchell, thanked the guests for their loyal support of the club. The active members of the club had responded liberally to the club’s appeal, but in addition others outside of the membership had given generous support, thus showing a keen appreciation of the club’s beautiful property as a city amenity. On behalf of the club Mr Mitchell thanked all those who took an interest in the club’s affairs.
