AIR TRAINING CORPS
ADMINISTRATION OFFICER TO VISIT NELSON To stimulate interest in the Air Training Corps, from points of view of recruiting and general organisation, Flight Lieutenant R. A. Stedman, R.N.Z.A.F., will arrive at Nelson (his home town) on Thursday for a stay of several days, his visit being arranged to coincide with the presence during that period of the Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force. Speaking to a representative of the Nelson “Mail” to-day, Flight Lieutenant Stedman’s ad-
vance agent said that the progress so far made by the Nelson Air Training Corps supported the belief that its
future growth and progress were assured, and a valuable fillip towards the achievement of such growth and progress would be afforded by the present visit. Flight Lieutenant Stedman was in the Air Force during the last war, and later when club aviation was introduced he was interested in the activity to the extent of becoming the Nelson’s Club’s secretary. He joined the R.N.Z.A.F. over two years ago, and is now Administration Officer for the Air Training Corps in New Zealand.
