SECRET LIST AIRCRAFT

THIS YEAR’S SURPRISES London, Dec. 7. Mr T. P. Wright, deputy-Director of Air Production of the War Production Board of America, who has been touring British aircraft factories with other United States air experts, said in a broadcast:—

“We have seen much of your research and development work and some of next year’s models, now on the secret list. Their performances will be far ahead of present types, as will indeed American models, in the same stage of development, when compared with the present Flying Fortress, Liberator and Hudson. “Britain and the United States both have fine aircraft, and there is certainly plenty of war to go around. The percentage of women workers in your factories is about 40. almost twice our figure in America. We expect to reach a similar ratio by next spring.”
