BRAZIL AND JAPAN
POSITION OF NEUTRALITY Rio De Janeiro, Feb. 7. The Foreign Minister, Dr. Aranha, contradicting yesterday’s report, announced that Brazil in joining the United Nations as a full partner in the war against Germany and Italy does not mean a declaration of war against Japan. He said: “Our position is comparable with Russian and Japanese relations. We are not at war with Japan because we have not been attacked by Japan, but if Japan attacks us we will fight her immediately.”—p.A.
