WORLD-SHAKING EARTHQUAKE
RECORDED AT DOMINION OBSERVATORY
Wellington, This Day. A world-shaking earthquake has occurred somewhere about 5600 miles from Wellington, but in what direction is unknown. Seismographs at the Dominion Observatory, Wellington, began recording 11.54 p.m. and for four hours oscillations continued. The shake is of considerable magnitude.—P.A
