FLOODS IN WESTLAND
lilti WANGANUI BRIDGE DAMAGED Hokitika, This Day. Flooding resulted throughout Westland following heavy rains during the past two days. The most serious damage reported is the washing away of two spans of the Big Wanganui River bridge north of Harihari. Low-lying portions of Hokitika were covered by Hood waters but no material damage was reported.
