FORESTRY LEAGUE
FLORA COMPETITION FOR CHILDREN PRIZE TO G. BEARDMORE, COLLINGWOOD The New Zealand Forestry League, established in 1916, has during the last 15 years conducted a New Zealand flora competition for children. In that period about 800 competitors have sent in between 30.000 and 40.000 native specimens. The competition is open to all boys and girls in the Dominion. This years prize-winners are:— Senior: Myles Briant, Homebrook School, Matawai, 1; James Morgans, Wimbledon, via Dannevirke, 2; Margaret Bond, Honikiwai, R.D., Otorohanga. and Jeannie Graham. Levin School, Levin, equal, 3. Junior: Patricia Stratford, Levin School, Levin, 1; Betty Wilson, Edgecombe, Bay of Plenty. 2; G. Beardmore, Pakawau School, Collingwood. Nelson. 3.
