MOTUEKA PLUNKET SOCIETY
: MONTHLY EXECUTIVE MEETING The monthly meeting of the Motueka Plunket Society was held at Mrs Russell’s residence, where Mrs D. Muir presided in the absence of the president. Mrs L. Inwood, who was unable to attend owing to illness. Others present were Mesdames W. L. Andrews, M- McNabb, A. C. Barr, R H. Dunne and C. Russell. Accounts amounting to £6 11s Id were passed for payment. The nurse’s monthly report showed the number of babies under supervision as 297, and older children 46; also the number of births as 21. Members of the committee expressed satisfaction that the sum of £47 16s Od was realised at the community singAfter a discussion it was decided that the society hold a carnival dance in the Institute Hall on Labour night to further augment the funds.
