FLOOD DAMAGE IN U.S.
MARYLAND AND VIRGINIA SUFFER Washington, Oct. 17. The Potomac river, which was in flood, is slowly receding after reaching a record level and inundating several low-lying sections of the capital and causing many millions of dollars damage in Maryland and Virginia. The damage even exceeded the flood disaster in 1936. At least 15 were drowned.—P.. A
