BARNARDO HELPERS’ LEAGUE
FOXHILL BRANCH BOX OPENING A happy box opening party was given by the patron of the Foxhill branch of the Barnardo Helpers’ League, Mrs M. Berry, at the home of Mr and Mrs O’Brien, Belgrove, on Saturday afternoon. Games of all kinds, including a treasure hunt and archery were played in the orchard and a delightful tea was dispensed. The opening of the boxes resulted in the sum of £5 6s Id. a fine effort from 10 boxes. The individual amounts were as follows: —Nancy Higgins £1 13s lid, Dennis and Joan Lines 10s Bzd, Joy and Shirley Hollis 9s 8d; Miss Govan 9s Id, Norma Nicholls 8s 9d. Barbara and Ken Hollis 7s lOid, Margaret McConchie 7s 10£d; Mrs Berry 7s sd; Murray McConchie 7s l£d, Vola Nisbett 3s Bd.
