ST THOMAS’S CHURCH, MOTUEKA
LADIES’ GUILD GIFT AFTERNOON A coin gift afternoon in aid of the Church Guild funds was held in St. Thomas’s Hall.* Motueka. and proved very successful. For the occasion the hall was decorated with gold and bronze coloured flowers. The programme of vocal items was much enjoyed. Those who contributed songs were: Miss Dorothy Goodman, Miss Diana Green. Mrs W. 11. Thomas, and Miss Joyce Clinch. Mystery parcels were on sale and the Bring and Buy stall was well patronised. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies of the guild and friends. Mrs Beaumont was the winner of the competition, “Local Personalities.” At the conclusion of the afternoon the vicar, the Rev. W. A. Beaumont, extended thanks to those who had organised the function and to all who had assisted in any way to make it the financial success it was.
