INTERCESSION
The work uf righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. My people shall dwell in a peaceful habitation. and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places. (Isaiah xxxii:l7-18.) Eternal God, we commend to Thine unfailing compassion the men, the women, and the children who are now suffering distress and anxiety. We know that where evil abounds the innocent must so >ften suffer, as did the Christ at Calvary. Hasten the day when righteousness shall restore to all Thy children quiet resting places.
