Kawanisi Type !)1 Reconnaissance Seaplane.—Although this aircraft was designed in 1934. it is still employed by the Japanese Naval Air Service. It is primarily intended for use as a reconnaissance aircraft, although no doubt it could carry bombs.

The leadling edge of the tailplane is straight, the tips rounded, and the assembly carries through the taper of the fuselage. There are two cockpits.
