PRIMARY SCHOOL RUGBY

TOURNAMENT CANCELLED The Seddon Shield Districts’ Primary Schools’ Rugby tournament, which was to have been played at Motueka during the coming school holidays, has been cancelled on account of transport and petrol restrictions. The Golden BayMotueka Union has advised the other unions concerned to that effect. The school teams in the Nelson Union’s area have played their usual games, including the annual Town v. However the Nelson Union is endeavouring to arrange a match for the schools’ representative team, which has been selected as follows: — Ross (Auck. Pt.), Nesbit( Cent.). Byrne (Auck. Pt.). Williams (Hamp den). Higgison (Auck. Pt.), Howes (Tahuna). Schwass (Hope), Ilton <Brightwater). Brady (Wakefield* Griggs (Central), Kirby (Hampden st.». Anderson (Tahuna). Bell (vice-captain. Tahuna). Rae (capt., Auck. Pt.). Gai guilo (Convent), Leggatt (Central'. Bensemann (Brightwater). Greir (Richmond). Robinson (Brightwater l Coleman (Central).
