FALL FROM TRAIN

BOY FATALLY INJURED Auckland, This Day. Falling from the platform of the Hamilton-Auckland excursion train at the Amokura crossing last night, a 16-year-old boy suffered injuries from which he died in a few minutes. He Stanley Kerr, son of Mr J. R. Kerr, of 553 A Manukau road, Epsom. The boy left the carriage to throw some paper from the train, and when he failed to return the train was stopped at 7.30 p.m. and the guard went back along the track. The lad had suffered severe head injuries and died soon after being found. The body was placed on the train and brought to Auckland. The train was delayed for an hour by the accident.— P.A.
