GOLDEN WEDDING

MR AND MRS A. D. WELLS, OF APPLEBY Mr and Mrs A. D. Wells of Appleby to-day celebrated their golden wedding. Mrs Wells, who was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and Mr Wells, who was born in Marlborough, were married in Wellington in 1892. From Wellington they went to Blackball. Marlborough, where they lived for 21 years, Mr Wells being employed by the firm of Brownlee and Co., saWmfilers. They later moved to the Hfen Valley where they were farming years. In 1924 Mr and Mrs Wells wgit to live in Appleby where they are still residing. Mr Wells is well know t as the Clerk of the. Course at Nelson race meetings.
