CANADIAN WAR VETERANS
SETTLEMENT ON LAND Ottawa, April 21. , A Government Bill submitted to the Canadian House of Commons is designed to settle 25,000 war veterans on the land at an estimated cost of 80,000.000 dollars. Of this amount approximately 34.000,000 dollars will be an outright grant. The scheme proposes lo advance settlers up to 50 per cent, of the total cost of their holdings and equipment as an outright grant. The settlers will be permitted to take up small holdings with the right to work part-time in other occupations.
