UNDERTAKING BY GOVERNMENT IFrom Oui Own Parliamentary Reporter I Wellington. This Day. Will the Minister of Marketing state what final arrangements have been made for the disposal of maicc now held by growers?” was a question Mr W. Sullivan (National. Bay of Plenty) asked in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr Sullivan ta d that growers were anxious to have the position clarified, particularly in respect to present stocks. , The Minister (Mr Barclay* replied that the undertaking given to the ma*/,e growers by the Government was that all maize of the 1941 crop which had not been taken by merchants by the cud of May of this year would be lifted ; nd paid for by the Internal Marketing Division. That undertaking, if neccssarv. would be fulfilled.
