USE FOR “ESSENTIAL SERVICES” (Rec. 1.20 p.m.) \New York, Jan. 23. The Maritime Commission has asked shipping companies engaged in the Atlantic, Pacific and coastal routes to cancel projected sailings because the Commission is taking over all ships over 5,000 tons for essential services.—U.P.A.
