(N.Z.E.F. Official News Service) Cairo, Jan. 22. A classic blind-side try created by Parsons, Canterbury half, and scored by Mcßeath, Auckland forward, was the highlight of a match when New Zealand Fourth Brigade beat the Maadi Camp team by 12 points to 11 ; on the Maadi Sporting Club’s ground ! yesterday. Great importance was attached to j the match which was regarded as a j trial f • the selection of the N.Z.E.F. I team to play the rest of Egypt at j Alexandria at the end of the month. Fur ' er trial matches will be played next week, when the final selection will be made. It is expected that the New Zealand team will be almost up to All Black standard. Teams in yesterday’s match were: Fourth Brigade: Whetton, Dick, Gray, Lupton. Burgess, Grace. Parsons (captain), Sales, Lincoln, Coull, McHugh, Fear. Hegglun, Mcßeath, Gollock. Maadi Camp: Fleming, Arnold Smith, W. McHugh, Perriam. Curtayne, Edlin. Leith, -inlay (captain), Fleverley. Best, Pye, Walker, Gunn and Latham.
