MAORI BOY KILLED
DRAGGED BY A lIORSE Opotiki, Jan. 8. A Maori boy, Lennie Mareroa, aged 13, was dragged by a horse and killed on his father’s farm at Omarumutu, near Opotiki. The boy was leading the horse with a rope fastened round his shoulder when the horse bolted and dragged him for 100 yards.—P.A.
