ESTATE OF LATE MRS MERRY FURTHER SEARCH FOR HILL ADMINISTRATOR APPOINTED Wellington, This Day. The estate of the late Mrs Alice ; has been sworn at under £IOO,00 and an order has been made in the i Supreme Court by Mr Justice Ostler 1 granting administration of the estate ad bona colligenda to the trust officer of the New Zealand Insurance Company, Ltd. There is still no trace of a i wii: and by advertisement to-day the j company is asking any person who has ; witnessed a will signed by the deceased or is able to give any information reigarding such a will to communicate i with the company. A thorough search of the house has been made by the police, a lawyer and relatives of Mrs Merry, but they found no signs of a will. It is understood they found a parcel of debentures of the value of £SOO. The attitude of the relatives about a will stems to be summed up in a state- ; ment of a niece that to talk of the certainty of such being in existence was just guessing. The storj from Auckland about Mrs Merry intending to go up there for I abour week-end was not taken ser- ! lously. Mrs Merry hardly visited her own relatives and it was the hardest thing in the world, the niece said, to 1 get her out. She just used to say she liked to be by herself. The legal procedure meanwhile adopted means that the appointed admin- ! istrator takes charge of all the asset* , lor the purpose of preserving them until a will is found or it is established that no will was made, when letters of : administration can be granted. It is now known that Mrs Merry’* i only surviving relatives are four nieces and six nephews living in the Wellington and Taranaki districts. The residence is under police super- ; vision.—P.A.
