S M ALL-SC A 1.11 ACTI VIT Y London, Oct., 26. Enemy activity over Britain last night was on a mall scale. A few .bombs were dropped at widely-separ-ated point- Some damage was done and at one place in the north west there were casualties. On Friday night a lew bombs were dropped in Wales and outh-west Eng. land. There was some damage but few casualties were reported. An enemy bomber was destroyed shortly after nightfall.—U.P.A. FRIDAY NIGHT’S RAIDS Rugby, Oct., 25. Despite the persistence of unfavourable weather over the Continent a Bomber Command squadron attacked objectives in the Rhineland and elsewhere m western Germany last night. The Brest docks were also bombed, while the Coastal Command during the night attacked enemy shipping off the coast of Norway and the Frisian Island A large supply ship was hit and left on fire. One R.A.F. fighter is missing from an offensive patrol later in the day.—B.O.W. NEW GERMAN FIGHTER London, Oct., 25. The journal “Aeroplane’’ reveals that the Germans have a new eight-gunned radial-engined fighter, the Focke Wulfe 190. which is believed to be already in action against the R.A.F. Its maximum speed is estimated at 370 miles an hour. It can operate at 40.000 feet, and has a cruising range of 525 miles.—U.P.A.
