OPERATIONS AT TOBRUK
BRITISH PATROLS GAIN VALUABLE INFORMATION (Rec. noon). Rugby. Oct. 26 A communique issue from British Headquarters. Cairo, states: “At Tobruk yesterday aerial bombing of the town and harbour was on a reduced scale and no casualties or damage resulted. Enemy artillery was more active but was effectively neutralised by our counter-battery fire. “Once again our patrols in all sectors carried out operations without interference from the enemy, bringing back much useful information. In the frontier area our normal patrolling activities continued.”— B.O.W.
