INTERCESSION
FOR PRISONERS OF WAR “Therefore, fear Thou not, saith the Lord, neither be dismayed; for 10. 1 will save Thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and he shall return, and shall be in rest, and bo quiet, and none shall make him afraid.” (Jeremiah xxx. verse 10). O Lord Almighty, Father of merci. . friend of all who are comfortless and forlorn, we pray Thee to consider with especial loving-kindness all prisoners of war. Be so present to them that in the weariness of their imprisonment they may find spiritual freedom m Thee, being released from fears and from sins, from darkness and oppression of the heart, from bitterness of hope long deferred. Lead them thus onward in divine knowledge in their school of trial, and in Thy mercy speed the day of rv'Meous peace, and of their glad delivc.v*»ce: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen,
