SILK STOCKINGS FOR NEW ZEALAND NURSES
Wellington, This Day. Although tile silk stocking shortage in New Zealand is common know - ledge the country has been able to provide some for members of the New Zealand Armv Nursing Service in the Middle East/These are of grey and not among the shades most in demand by women here. Moreover they represent really an exchange or part uf an exchange for the many stockings which have been sent bv men from Egypt to New Zealand. Apparently the shades in demand by women have been procurable in Egypt hut not the grey shade worn bv nurses. Stockings sent to nurses are through the Patriotic Fund Board A gift of 108 pairs wa> acknowledged by Miss Nutsey on 23rd August.— P.A.
