(Selected) Who knows why the leaves are green? 1 And who knows why the showers ! Come just when they are badly needed, By the drooping flowers? Who knows why the streamlets sing? I And why the sky is blue? ! And who knows how the flowers are painted ! Such a gorgeous hue? j Who knows why the birdies I Are the first to greet the sun? ; And why the dusk at evening !
