ARTISTIC AND COLOURFUL SETTINGS
"I RESII MEEDS’ The Nelson Repertory Club has always had the reputation for splendid! staging, and the coming production will be no exception to .his rule. Mr Bob I Howell has once again painted a very j charming set, this time something quite 1 different in colouring. A great deal of care has been taken with furnishings and furniture, and the result is ex- 1, trcmcly pleasing. Flocking is also a feature of this! piny. The six ladies of the cast have j chosen some very lovely gowns for ; morning, afternoon, outdoor and indoor j wear. These make the play colourful I anil interesting, and it will be noticed]' with how much care the dresses have ! been chosen to blend with one another. ' Mr Clarrie Lee and his orchestral have once more consented to play in- j cidcntal music and with Mrs Moynihan a.v producer and Mr William Simm as j stage manager, the audience is assured ; of splendid entertainment. The box j plan is at Snapshots for this hilarious comedy which is to be staged in the Theatre Royal next Tuesday, Wednes-| day and Thursday, 28th, 29th and 3ULh! October. Booking is heavy for Wednesday and Thursday, and although good seats may still be booked for these nights, the public is advised to book for Tuesday. Last June, many who had delayed booking till after the first night, regretted having not gone to the opening performance. As all the profits are to be handed over to Patriotic Funds, three full houses are hoped for. If the present ! rate of hooking is maintained, there is i every reason to expect that this wish! will be realised. Scats may be booked ] to-night.
